I’m not exactly a proponent of animal rights.
Don’t get me wrong. I love them. But I wear leather…I eat meat.
That’s why some of you may be surprised to know that recently I got upset when I read about the plight of coyotes in my area.
You see, there’s been a problem involving coyotes and our (farming) population.
I didn’t think that it was serious. That is, until a few weeks ago when I checked my local paper. Some people have suggested that we adopt a bounty program.
I’ve been worried ever since. Follow-up articles have done nothing to ease my mind.
On the plus side, I’ve been praying for a way to become more involved in my community. And this could very well be it. Who knows…I may turn into an animal activist.

Hi! Love animals, protect animals and Do not eat them. Thanks! cheers!
Coyotes will come into your yard and get into your garbage, kill and eat any small animals you have as pets and leave nasty pee smell all over. They reproduce like dogs and there aren’t any predaters to keep the population down. Soon these animals with dig burrows under your house and get inside. You have heard of raccoons breaking into homes. Oppossums, mountain lions, wolves, deer. We have to keep our stuff to ourselves. Sure I wish it were a perfect world where we didn’t have to kill animals to keep the population under control. Just like Alligators going into residencial areas, Its all just so much more easier for the wild animals to find what they need from our homes. Bears are another huge problem. Pretty soon everyone will have to have a shot gun when they leave the house, put up reinforced fence. Even to start keeping the birds away from your gardens and trees. It’s a dog eat dog world. I had a couple stray cats I was feeding outside for a while until I started to see all of the free loaders that were coming around. Oppossum families, raccoon families, Im talking the whole family. Mom raccoon and three babies. Even have had snakes coming to get water where I was leaving the water out. One time I open the front door to just take a bag of garbage out and there right by the front door is a coyote getting a drink from the water bucket. I love animals, but I can’t take care of everyone. I had to stop putting out food and water, it was just getting a little to dangerous.
