After reading this piece in i-D magazine yesterday (October 24, 2015), I felt compelled to respond.

You can read my post here. I’m tired of seeing Beyoncé mentioned negatively in the context of contemporary feminism.

To complete my work, I knew I wanted to include an image. This is the first thing that I came up with:

It’s not too bad. I used a shot I found online from Beyoncé’s “Run the World (Girls)” video, and paired it with a quote from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, as featured in Flawless. But something was missing.

I tried again, and created what you see below.

I know that the resolution in both photos is blurry. In Canva I used filters so that their overall tone would be compatible. Nevertheless, in spite of its flaws, I like the concept behind my final product.
